Mindful Eating: We Are What We Eat.
There is a connection between environmental deterioration and the worldwide health crisis. Mindful eating habits, personal health, and sustainable food choices not only enhance your well-being but also contribute to a healthier planet.
Think about this: if our diet is not sustainable with the planet we call home, how can we expect to be healthy? How can we have a sustainable diet in a modern world centered on urgency and instant satisfaction?
On one hand, widespread intensive agriculture practices driven by the demand for meat-based diets, are damaging the environment. Our beautiful planet cannot provide for billions of meat-eaters, because it simply doesn’t have the space. Besides, conventional agriculture practices use toxic fertilizers that lack critical minerals, causing an impoverishment of soil's biological activity and changes in the substratum nutrients.
On the other hand, publicity has conditioned us to satiate rather than nourish and we end up living in a pressing state of urgency and excess. Today we also face an immense variety of food alternatives, mostly processed foods in plastic wraps that were deliberately designed and engineered to be irresistible and make us addicted to them.
